After many years in the Italian Public Research System, where I have worked in physics, engineering and medical research, and a brief period in Industry, where I have headed the R&D Department of a microscope manufacturer, I am now back to academic research, in Scotland. I run a research group that develops mobile phone based instruments for healthcare and techniques for robotic surgery.
